The hospital belonged to a bigger project of the Ministry of Health and Population to revamp existing medical facilities in the coastal city of Port Said. It was opened at the end of 2016, and it consisted of a ground floor and 3 upper, 1,850 square meters each. The hospital specialized obstetrics and gynecological diseases; by the end of the project, the hospital ended up with 2 operating rooms and a suite for intensive care and recovery. Moreover, it included nurseries suites for premature babies, patient accommodation rooms and suites, radiology rooms of all kinds, reception, emergency rooms, natural birth suite, laboratories, examination rooms, kitchen, laundry, sterilization rooms, pharmacies, medical service rooms, accommodation suites for doctors and nursing staff, and rooms for the administration; such scope of work back then was 35 million pounds.
