This 120 year old railway station, and the second of its kind in Egypt after Ramsis station, was considered one of the most important renovation projects in Port Said. The goal of the project aimed to raise the efficiency and maintain the railway system along with its accompanying facilities; providing it with the latest services to serve the citizens and travelers.
The station consists of 6 platforms, a general arrival/departure hall, a ticketing hall, and a VIP lounge made especially for King Said of Egypt in 1902. While maintaining the historic location, our company had the chance to introduce new elements to the site as a whole.
We were able to locate and execute a customs area, a dormitory complex for staff, and a fire tank along with a new multifunctional firefighting network, all this was done while preserving and restoring the architectural style of the antique building.
